Gifts of Real Estate
A gift of your appreciated real property (such as your home or vacation property, vacant land, farmland, ranch or commercial property) may help reduce your taxes.
How you make a gift of real property
Your real property may be given to CSULB by signing a deed transferring ownership following University due diligence review of the property. Your deduction may be based on the fair market value of the property that must be established by an independent qualified appraisal. Some people use their real property to create a trust that pays them income for life. To learn more about this option, click here.
